Re-opening of Dubai

Dubai has finally started implementation on the plans to function at full, 100% capacity of its businesses and recreational sectors as well. It is a gradual return to normal life, however - with intensified precautionary measures.

Dubai has re-opened such facilities as public beaches, gyms, cinemas, restaurants and cafes. They still cannot be used by people over 60 and younger than 12. However. It's a big move and relief to the residents and visitors of the UAE.

From the 31st of May until 14th of June, 50% of Dubai government employees are allowed to be in offices and resume their work with application of safety measures for the health and safety of individuals and society. After 14 June the government entities are expected to resume their full capacity and have the staff at their offices.

On the 3rd of June all malls and private sector businesses started operating at 100% capacity too. The working hours for companies and operating hours of malls should fall within the timings permitted for public movement, which are currently between 6 am and 11 pm.

The private sector companies must ensure that they operate their normal activities without compromising on preventive steps aimed at protecting people's health and safety. Such steps include strict precautionary measures i.e. wearing face masks, maintaining a minimum distance of two meters from others, using hand sanitizers as well as washing hands for 20 seconds with water and soap.

However, some employees are allowed to continue working remotely from home. These include the elderly, employees with underlying health and chronic conditions, people of determination, pregnant women and those with compromised immunity.
